The
Prayer Partner Program confidentially
links those infected and affected HIV/AIDS in a
prayerful relationship with another person.
At SILOAM, we understand that spirituality alone cannot
cure the disease. Though we are not a religious
organization, it is our belief that everyone is
spiritual, regardless of their affiliation with a
religious tradition or not. SILOAM recognizes that
spirituality helps people to cope with the pains and
frustrations of living with an ongoing disease and that
prayer can be a "spiritual pharmacy."
Prayer
Partners is:
A
willingness to pray for each other
An
openness to give and receive through prayer
Confidential
Inter-Faith
Prayer
Partners is not:
Asking
anyone to change
Judgmental
A
financial obligation |
The person
to whom you will be assigned has requested prayers and your
only responsibility as a Prayer Partner is to give Prayerful
Support. You will be assigned a contact person at
SILOAM to assist you with any questions or concerns you may
have. For news concerning the program, please look for
the "Prayer Partners Corner" in the Pool of
SILOAM newsletter published several times a year.
